The Rideau d'Espace model was designed by Paco Rabanne circa 1970.
Made of round chrome-plated plastic discs linked by small metal rings, it reflects the couturier's experiments with industrial and modular materials applied to the decorative arts. More than a curtain, this flexible and shimmering partition captures and reflects light, echoing the monumental Rideau d'Espace installed at UNESCO in 1969, now preserved at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
The dimension can be easily adapted as each plastic tile is attached with hooks that can be moved. It can be used as curtain or room divider or wall sculpture.
