Set of four decorative cacti hand-carved by Robert Haussmann for the interior design of a boutique in Zurich, circa 1970.

A key figure of postwar European design, Swiss architect and designer Robert Haussmann is celebrated for his experimental spirit and irreverent approach to modern aesthetics. These sculptural cacti, carved entirely with a gouge, display a raw, tactile surface that highlights the expressive quality of the material and craftsmanship. Their abstract, totemic silhouettes blur the line between art and design, bringing a bold, whimsical presence to any space.

Varying heights from 95 cm to 182 cm.

Provenance: Weinberg Zurich, circa 1970.
