Polished diabase sculpture by Robert Neuhauser, made in Switzerland, circa mid-1980s.
Composed of two elongated elements with rounded ends, the piece unfolds horizontally. Their arrangement highlights the relationship between the two volumes and their balance.
The polished surface reveals deep, dark tonal variations characteristic of diabase, enhancing the softness of the lines.
This work belongs to the group of stone sculptures presented by the artist in the late 1980s, notably during the exhibition Arbeiten in Stein at Galerie Sigristenkeller, Bülach, in 1989.
