Watercolor on paper by Burhan Doğançay. This trompe-l'oeil collage offers a remarkable play of light and shade.

This world-famous Turkish painter and photographer is exhibited in more than 70 museums and has a dedicated museum in Istanbul since 2004. He made his home in New York in the 1960s, but returned regularly to Turkey. He is particularly known for his love for urban walls from which he is inspired in his compositions based on posters peelings or collages. He became famous in the 70s with his series the Ribbons.
