Desk designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Cansado mining village between 1959 and 1967.

It features a blue laminated top mounted on a black lacquered tubular metal frame, conceived to be durable and easy to maintain, in line with the needs of collective furniture for MIFERMA.

The desk includes a side thermoformed plastic drawer marked "breveté S.G.D.G", characteristic of this industrial production.

Cansado is a mining town built in the 1960s by the Société des Mines de Fer de Mauritanie "MIFERMA" to house its staff. Part of the furniture was designed by Charlotte Perriand between 1959 and 1967.
