Glass-Blower
Blown glass jug by Claude Morin, a key French artist of the 1970s revival of glass art. Working from his studio in Dieulefit, he developed a distinctive style in which pure forms enhance the depth of color and the subtle variations of artisanal craftsmanship.
Mouth-blown in olive green glass, this jug is defined by its rounded body, elongated neck, and smoothly applied handle. The fine bubbles trapped within the glass emphasize the vitality of the material. At the intersection of utilitarian object and decorative sculpture, the piece embodies Claude Morin's poetic approach to glass.
