Designer

Single-seat daybed designed by Christian Durupt, France, circa 1970.

The model features a solid pine frame resting on two slightly profiled sled legs. A metallic green painted steel frame supports the mattress, recently restored and upholstered in navy blue Nobilis wool fabric, completed with a matching bolster cushion. The contrast between the warmth of the wood and the sobriety of the textile highlights the structural clarity of the piece. Easily adaptable, it can also serve as a single bed.

Provenance: La Plagne Bellecôte, France, circa 1970.
