Sornay Wardrobe, France, 1960

REF: 7092

Designer

Wardrobe designed by André Sornay, cabinetmaker and designer from Lyon, a key figure of French modernism and inventor of the "tigette" rod-assembly system developed in the 1930s.

Produced around 1960 by Meubles Sornay, the wardrobe features a solid mahogany frame and base. The sliding doors, lacquered in black and cream, highlight the graphic and structured design typical of Sornay's work.
The interior is organized into two sections: a hanging space on the left, and multiple storage shelves on the right.

A functional yet refined piece, striking a perfect balance between constructive precision and modern aesthetics.

Manufacturer: Meubles Sornay, circa 1960.
