Glass-Blower
Large blown glass jug by Claude Morin, a French artist who played a central role in the revival of glass art during the 1970s. Working in Dieulefit, he explored the interplay of color and light through simple yet striking forms.
Crafted in cobalt blue glass, this jug stands out for the harmony of its proportions: a generous rounded base, a tall flared neck, and a smoothly applied handle that enhances the overall balance. The dense transparency of the glass reveals fine bubbles and subtle variations, a vivid trace of the artisan's hand. Initially conceived as a functional object, it now asserts itself as a sculptural and decorative piece.
Signed underneath the base: Morin Dieulefit.
