Ceramicist
- Annie Fourmanoir Gorius
Trained under Paul Chaumeil, Annie Fourmanoir began her career in the 1960s. She was awarded a silver medal at the Vallauris Biennale and became an active figure in the postwar French ceramic revival, especially around La Borne. Her work has been shown in major institutions, including the Musée national de Sèvres, the Musée de la Céramique in Rouen, and the Bernardaud Foundation in Limoges.
This tall stoneware vase features a satin reddish-brown surface with subtle throwing rings and a slightly flared lip-typical of her quiet, sculptural and material-focused practice.
