Pair of solid pine stools, Les Arcs, circa 1980

REF: 7681

Pair of solid pine stools produced for the Les Arcs ski resort, a project to which Charlotte Perriand contributed for nearly twenty years. The square seat rests on a quadripod base with straightforward, sturdy lines, reflecting the utilitarian furniture designed for mountain interiors.

These pieces illustrate the functional spirit of the Les Arcs program: local wood, essential shapes, rational production and collective use.

Savoie, Les Arcs, circa 1980.
