Designer

Pair of solid pine chairs designed by Christian Durupt, a French cabinetmaker who worked alongside Charlotte Perriand on mountain interiors during the 1960s.

Each chair features a wide, comfortable seat supported by four subtly tapered legs. The tall backrest, with its integrated handle, combines simplicity with practicality. The use of solid pine enhances the rustic strength and modernist aesthetic, perfectly echoing the spirit of alpine resorts of that era.

Origin: Méribel, France, circa 1960.
