LC6 table, first presented in 1929 at the Salon d'Automne by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand.
The design is defined by the contrast between a thick textured glass top, sand-cast on a sand bed, and a black painted steel base inspired by the ovoid profiles used in aeronautical engineering at the end of the 1920s. This manufacturing process results in a subtly irregular surface and a pronounced visual depth. The structure incorporates an adjustment system allowing the table height to be set between 69 and 74 cm. The composition reflects a technical and disciplined approach characteristic of the modernist language developed by its designers.
A key model in the history of 20th-century furniture, the LC6 remains a benchmark for the clarity of its form and the balance of its proportions.
