The Robot 619 piece of furniture designed by Mario Botta has something very special : rising like a totem, it can be adapted to small spaces and acts both as a serie of drawers and as a writing desk in its upper part.
The nine drawers slide freely and independently around the central pivot which supports the entier structure and lifts the drawers off the floor. On the top of this resolutely modern piece of furniture, Mario Botta imagined a writing desk that folds down, revealing a few storage spaces.
This remarkable work is composed of metal for the central column and nine drawers in MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), all lacquered in black.
Manufacturer: Alias, circa 1989. This piece of furniture was made in few copies.
