Ceramicist

Rare pair of mirrors by French ceramicist Mithé Espelt.

Very delicate, we like their oblong shape, all in stamped clay and cracked gold.

France, circa 1949.

Most of the time, Mithé Espelt's creations did not bear a signature, this was a will of the artist.

Literature : Similar models of this mirror can be found for reference in the recent book from Antoine Candau : Mithé Espelt, le luxe discret du quotidien, Edition Odyssée, 2020, p. 65.
