Bench or daybed with one storage box designed by Charlotte Perriand at the end of the 50s : black lacquered metal legs, ash slats and box covered with black laminate. The mattress and cushions have been restored in a Nobilis ivory fabric.

Provenance: Executives' house in the mining town of Cansado, Mauritania.
Cansado is a mining town built in the 1960s by the Mauritanian Iron Mines Company "MIFERMA" to house its staff. Part of the furniture was designed by Charlotte Perriand between 1959 and 1967.
