"Cansado" bench designed by Charlotte Perriand for the development program of the Cansado mining town, Mauritania.
Produced for the MIFERMA company, it furnished executive housing built between 1959 and 1967, as part of a coordinated project combining architecture, urban planning, and furniture.
The structure features a black lacquered steel base combined with thirteen solid mahogany slats. The seat is completed with cushions upholstered in anthracite grey Nobilis wool cloth. Other finishes available on request.
