Designer
A pair of low fireside chairs by designer André Sornay. The latter, originally from Lyon, is the inventor of various patented assembly systems including the so-called "tigette" system.
These low chairs, with a tinted solid beech structure, are an example of furniture assembled by threaded rods ("tigette"). The seat and back have been restored in a pretty contrasting fabric from the Nobilis Collection, in shades of beige and cream.
