Designer
- Alessandro Becchi
Three-seater Anfibio sofa designed by Alessandro Becchi in the late 1960s and produced by Giovannetti in Italy.
Fully padded with foam and upholstered in cognac full-grain leather, the model is defined by its soft, enveloping volumes. Rounded forms, visible stitching, and signature side straps with snap buttons are distinctive features of the design. The integrated convertible mechanism allows the seat to unfold into a bed, making the Anfibio both functional and sculptural.
An iconic example of 1970s Italian design, it reflects a radical approach to comfort, emphasizing fluid shapes and a strong organic presence within the space.
